There is a common argument on whether or not the government should impose a regulation regarding the limit of noises an individual is allowed to make to reduce the distraction it causes to the society. In this case, there are several benefits and drawbacks that emerge from the implementation of this policy.
To begin with, some parties would argue that focusing on making rules to manage the limitation in the amount of noise someone can make is not crucial. There are other urgent problems in the nation that require more attention from the authorities than just controlling noise reduction. For example, some believe that the time is much worth spending on working to amend the law to reduce crimes cases and create too much noise which is only on certain occasions like holding a party is not an unlawful activity as some people just want to have fun. Therefore, it is not something to be worried about.
Having said that, the citizens’ well-being should also be taken into consideration by the government. One of the purposes of creating a law is to ensure the society’s prosperity, including to keep the peace within the communities.Thus, enforcing a strict law to regulate noise reductions is crucial to fulfill the right of people to live peacefully. In some countries, playing loud music is part of the modern culture which sometimes brings negative impacts to the surroundings. For instance, in my country, there is this culture of playing music loudly by putting a stack of speakers on a truck and going around the neighborhood and it disturb many people especially the babies and elderly, some people also experience the loss of properties such as their windows and ceilings are broken due to pressure of the loud music. Hence, it is clear enough that a stricter law should be implemented because what is thought to be not criminal activities could have the potential to bring severe negative impacts to many people.
All in all, even though creating a loud noise is not an unlawful behavior, it can harm the society in certain ways such as causing disturbance and damage the properties. Thus, I firmly believe that there should be an action taken by the officials to tighten a policy in order to avert the drawbacks.
