Finally, there are a railway crossing the residential area with a station nearby connecting to the Brampton road.
In the future, the old A14 will be re-designated as a local road, while a new A14 bypass will be constructed to the south to link the A1 directly to the ring road. In addition, a new roundabout linking with the railway station will be added at the Brampton road intersection. Meanwhile, the airfield will be replaced by an industrial estate connected to the railway, whereas the railway will remain unchanged.
