Many people advocate for a multicultural society and propose that this kind of society brings more advantages than demerits. I wholeheartedly agree with this view, and this essay aims to explain why.
First of all, when people from different ethnic groups live together in a country, their traditions and experiences are shared. People in this society have better exposure to diverse works, skills and expertise which help make the country interesting while also creating a talented and skilled workforce. For instance, countries like the USA and the UK have multicultural societies and such social formation has created better skills, expertise and capabilities among people. As a result, these countries have rich cultural aspects and a workforce with multiple talents and skills.
Secondly, people who live in a multicultural society have a better understanding of different cultures, religions and lifestyles. This exposure makes them more tolerant towards differences. Thus a multicultural society in a country teaches people to respect different religions, traditions and beliefs. It is expected that nations would recognise these strengths of having a multicultural population and foster harmony to reap its maximum benefit.
However, In the age of globalization, it is important to maintain cultural identity. Firstly, we should preserve native language. Language is a vital part of culture. Language helps us develop intellectual abilities and shape cultural identity. Secondly, we should wear traditional clothes because it not only reflects climatic conditions but also represents our national culture. Moreover, celebrating traditional holidays is a good idea to protect the beauty of traditional culture and bring people together. It will be an effective way for advertising cultural identity to others .Therefore, we should keep our own cultural identity and flexibly adjust to the different cultures
