The table demonstrates trends regarding of the amount of junk food consumption in Melbourne.
For most of the table shown, it can be seen there is an upward trend among most of the types of fast food consumed. Among the fast food types, salad has the fastest rate of increase in terms of consumption.
The consumtion amount of hamburgers was 40 units in 2005, which subsequently fall slightly by 2 units recently. The figure for hamburger is predicted to have a significant rise to 51 units in 2025. Meanwhile, fried chicken was consumed at a rate of 35 units in 2005, before rising by 2 units in present years, and is speculated to rise sharply ot 45 units in 2025. In the meantime, despite being the lowest at 5 units, the consumption rate of salad recover quickly to 15 units, and is projected to rise at a higher rate to 41 units.
As for the remaining types, both fried rice and noodles was consumed at 6 units initially, before rising moderately to 9 and 8 respectively, and are both predicted to be at 9 units later in 2025.
