Overall, it can be seen that the trend of gym visitors in different age groups was rising over the given years. Moreover, proportion of people at the age of 45 and over who visits gym at least once a month, had been lower than the over given age groups during the whole given period.
In 1990, only 8% of young individuals at the age of 18 to 24, were attending gym, and it slightly rose to almost 14% in 1994, but then rapidly jumped by around 45% and peaked at 59% in 2006. After that with a minimal decrement it reached to 58% in 2010. The proportion of the next group of youth with the age of 25 to 34, who had exercise routine, stood at nearly above 16% in 1990, and rose to 28% in 1998, then increased to 33% in 2002. After that, with an incredible jump, it reached a top at 50% in 2010.
On the other hand, in 1990, only 4% of the oldest group of individuals with ages of 45 and over had a monthly exercise routine at the gym, and with a slow rate grew to 10% in 2002. Then it remained steady over the next 3 years until 2005, however, the proportion of middle-aged people who visited the gym more than once in a month sharply jumped to 22% in 2010.
