Overall, the home ownership increases over the decades. The most dramatic change was shown in 2011 by comparing with 1918.
In 1918, 23% households had own homes, while the significant portion 77% were in rented homes. The same trend was followed by people in 1939, where nearly 32% individuals had home ownershilp, while 63% had rented apartments. In 1961, almost equal proportion of rented and own department people, at 55% and 44% each. This trend dropped sharply by 2001, where house owner dominated the renting ones, nearly 66% households had own houses, while 26% people were in renting homes. In 2011, the difference was not visible in a decade, with almost 37% people had rented accomodation, while 63% were owners.
In summary, over time more and more people encouraged to buy own homes. In 2011, majority of people had own home, by contrast more people had rented homes in 1918.
