I think the increasing reliance on technology in education will definitely affect students' critical thinking skills in the long run. Nowadays, artificial intelligence is very popular, which we call AI for short. AI is a very strong tool; when students have any questions, they can simply input a question, and then the generative AI can immediately produce answers for them. By repeating this process, children and students do not need to think critically about whether the answer provided by the AI is correct or not. They might just copy the ideas or agree with the AI's suggestions. So I think in the long run, the more reliance on AI, the less children or students might think critically.
