Overall, during the whole period in question cars have been the most-use vehicle among others, and it is likely to be the same in the future, also with riding more private vehicles, the average time for commuting saw the same trend, and is expected to be increased steadily.

Looking at the proportion of people commuting by various means, cars were by far the most popular vehicles at the beginning with 45% and they will have taken the lead by 2030 at 60%, which will be roughly three times greater than others. The bus users, in contrast, stood at 35% in 1990, fell slightly to just under 30%, and is predicted to continue declining to 20% while, the number of riders for bicycle is set to remain intact at 20% through the timescale.
