Smacking children is considered the best method of behaving. A number of people claim that physical punishment could be an effective way to control their children’s actions. This essay will argue why spanking children between one time and another is entirely necessary for raising children.
Parents have always been worried about practicing a tough style in behaving with their children. Those are afraid of facing opposite results from their kids after they grow up, such as depending on violence in their daily lives. In addition, risking and weakening the relation between parents and their children is a justified reason why they are hesitant to take smacking as a good way of discipline. For instance, a recent study in the UK that 20% of children get punished physically for acting in an unacceptable and rude way. These few reasons have created some fears in parents, making them reject smacking children for behaving.
Despite the previous reasons to reject spanking as as beneficial method, the idea that it is dangerous and may induce violence is completely exaggerated. Smacking and strict punishment are necessary when there is a need to put a limit for rude children who have been acting in unacceptable situations. For example, a simple hit on a child’s hand would be enough to explain to the kid that he made a mistake frequently. Overall, ignoring any bad habits that come out of their child could lead to a worse outcome from the child on the environment surrounding him.
This essay argued why strict punishment and smacking children could be a good way of raising a child. In my opinion, a tough style is the best key answer when it comes to teaching children good behavior.
