Overall, it is clear that bus experiened a downward trend in European city during the period shown, while the opposite was true for four other vehicles and train remained stable.
To begin with, bus is the most popular transportation in European city over a 30-year period, standing at 60000 journeys every day in 1985 before they reached nearly 40000 for 30 years later. The number of people using train lower than other means of transportation, was around 7000 journeys both in 1985 and 2015.
Subway, car, bicycle and foot shows an upward trend between 1985 and 2015. In 2015, the number of journeys using subway as the same as that of bicycle, stood at 20000. At the same time, foot and bus were both reached nearly 40000 journeys on a daily basis. In addition, there was a sharply increase to nearly 37000 journey taken using car.
