Overall, it can be seen that students in Canada and the US spend around the same amount of time relaxing, studying and sleeping, while Australian students study considerably more and spend less time relaxing.
First, it can be seen that students in Canada and the US spend around equal portions of their day sleeping, studying and relaxing. American pupils spend the most time sleeping at 8.5 hours of the day, compared to Canadian students who spend 8 hours a day sleeping. In addition, American pupils study just slightly less than Canadian students, at 8 hours in comparison to 8.5 hours. Both groups of students, however, spend the same amount of time relaxing, at 7.5 hours.
This is in stark contrast to Australia, where students spend far more time studying than their Canadian and American counterparts, at 13 hours. They also sleep less at just 7 hours. Thus, Australian pupils have much less time to relax, at just 4 hours, which is 3.5 hours less than Canadian and American pupils.
