The two pie charts illustrate the proportion of children’s cultural and leisure activities participated by boys and girls.

Overall, it is readily apparent that computer games are the most popular activity among boys, while dancing takes the top spot for girls. Boys spend the least amount of time on reading, although the proportion for girls is significantly higher than for boys.

The most popular activity among boys is playing computer games, accounting for the largest share at 34%, while the proportion of girls in participating activities is highest for dancing, which make up 27%. The second most popular choice for boys is basketball with 26%, followed by reading for girls, which accounts for 21%. However, reading is the least common activity for boys taking up only 2%.

In both cultural and leisure activities, listening to music has the same proportion, which comprises 10%. In addition, the percentage of boys who participate in skateboarding and girls who participate in gymnastics is also the same, at only 11%.
