This image illustrates the process of water treatment to make it safe for drinking purpose. It can be clearly seen from this image that the process consist on several distinct stages, beginning with raw water and ending with filtration and finally water become potable and it fits for drinking purpose. It is clear that this process is linear.
The process begins with the raw water. It pumped for screening to remove large particles from water. Subsequently, water is passed through sedimentation process, in which large particles settled down in the bottom of water. In the next step, water is ready for distribution into households through taps, following for storage in tanks for further treatment.
Later on, water is disinfected for removal of bacteria. After disinfection, water is goes through filtration to remove any chemical agents to make it safer. Finally, the water is ready for drinking for drinking purpose.
