Some people argue that international sporting events are costly and bring problems to the hosting country. However, I completely disagree with this idea, because these events bring several benefits for hosting country which makes it much more beneficial. Benefits such as improving country’s economy behind boosting the tourism industry, also a great opportunity for knowing about other cultures.
First of all, each international sporting event has a lot of spectaculars around the world. People from various countries get together in the hosted country as a tourist, to follow the tournoments. Indeed, these people need accommodation, transportation and food, so they must spend a huge amount of money during their trip. So, this can help to improve hosted country’s economy in a good way, by reserving hotels, booking restaurants and renting cars by visitors.
Moreover, by gathering people from mulitple cultures in the same place, it is a great opportunity for both, local and foreign people, to get introduce with each other. In fact, they can meet each other during matches or even in the resturants or cafés in the city. They can easily exchange their own countries stroies and background history to other people. By these, people get much more familiar with other cultures.
However, there are some drawbacks about hosting international sporting events. For instance, the government should spend a lot of money to develop country’s sport infrastructre, so it may put local economy under pressure for a short time. Also, some individuals such as elderly people or minority group of people are not happy about the country becomes much crowded for s short time, because they may get in trouble for their routine works.
In conclusion, I strongly agree with the idea, hosting international sporting events for many reasons such as boosting country’s economy by improvements in tourism industry, also the great chance for people to become for familiar with cultures from other countries. However, some problems such as overcrowding the country or difficulty in communting may be happend for a short time.
