Dear Pat,

How are you?

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing this letter to you to ask about further details about the summer festival in your town. I have recently heard that you intend to participate as a volunteer in that event. If I may ask, what type of festivals are you volunteering at? What is the exact location the mayor selected for this occasion? I wish it is a massive space so a countless number of people are able to join. I want also to make sure it won’t be held at late night. Festivals normally take place in the mornings or evenings.

Another information that could be useful to me is what kind of tasks are you going to fulfill as a member there. Hopefully, you will be responsible for food and drinks so our close friends can enjoy free meals.

Finally, could you please do me a favour and ask if the organisers are still looking for more volunteers so I would be able to participate, and how can I apply for the work.
