The given maps present the changes of Shilton village between 1910 and 2010.
At first glance, compared to 1910, the village can provided more houses and living areas, but it has become less green.
On the outer part of the village, there was some arrangement made. To the North-east of the village, the houses have been smaller in size due to the increase of trees. In the initial year (1910), there was a butcher in the south-north; however, in 2010, it was demolished and upgraded to a supermarket with parking space. Moreover, with the growth of technology in 2010, different from 1910, the bank was added, paving a way for online payment.
Regarding the interior of the village, the number of trees significantly reduced with the disappearance of the large house. This change made the replacement of houses, and helped the villagers in the center area of the village. Additionally, the establishment of supermarket led to the demolition of the grocer and baker.
