The table provides data about the employment of first-degree graduates from various UK countries, namely Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, in 2001.
Overall, it is noticed that the figure for total employment in Scotland is higher than in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland at around 58.3%, 45,3%, 33.6% respectively.
In the permanent employment sector, while Scottish students included 43.6%, a 20% rate is recorded in Northern Ireland. It is clearly seen that the lowest percentage of employees is in the Overseas Employment category. The proportion of English permanent employees is roughly less than that of Scotland. 5% of overseas students in Northern Ireland includes approximately two times of other countries in the same category.
According to the timetable, although permanent workers from Scotland maintained the highest amount, in the Temporary employment category, English students reached the upper level, compared to others. Walish students in that category were roughly half of the percentage of the English temporary employees.
