The maps illustrates the feature of public park from the first opening period in 1920 comparing to the present day.
From the maps, it can be assumed that the renovation process is undergone creating some differences to the park. All in all, the entrance is still accessible through North side (Arnold Avenue) and South Side (Eldon Street). There are four parts is located to other places but they are still being the main icons of that park, such as Rose Garden, stages or amphitheatre, seats and ponds for water plants.
Firstly, it can be seen on the plans in 1920, the people could get into the park through two entrances. The rose garden is located at every edges of the park alongside with seat, from North to South. At the centre, of the park is where the fountain located. However, in the present the fountain is eliminated and rose garden surrounded with seats is situated in this space. The stage for musicians is at left side of fountain, but it is renovated to amphitheatre for concerts. Comparing to the present, the underground parking lot for car is close to Eldon Street. While in 1920, the glasshouse is situated near there. There are two elements added at today’s park, such as cafe and playground for Children. Lastly, the ponds is developed beautifully.
