The line graph and bar chart illustrated the number of Olympics’ participants during 1924 to 2012 and the number of male and female athletes who entered this competition since it begin.

Overall, the percentage of male athletes still keep the number one place but as can bee seen, the number of female participants experienced a remarkable surge when have been increased from just a several people to almost 5000. Also the overall number of participants have a big change during the period.

In 1924, there were about 3000 athletes entered this world wide competition with most of them were men and just few women. Then 28 years later, the difference between quantity of these two gender still haven’t closen when the number of male increase one and a half time while the number of female haven’t reach the number of 1000, which mean almost nothing compared to 5000 people joined the Olimpic that year.

Move to the year of 1984, there were above 6000 athletes and as before, male still had alot more chance than female but this time, there were seem a hopeful sign for women athletes when they had growth to more than 1500 people. Until 2012, everything had change suprisingly when the overall number of participants had increase alot more compared to previous years and especially, there were 10000 people and especially, the percentage of male and female had been become more balanced, there were almost 5000 female and about 6000 male attended this year.
