There is a common belief that the progressive development of technology use can lead to poor critical thinking skills among students. However, the usage of the internet can engage students in studying process more or be helpful in further learnings in my opinion. This essay will explain why technology is not harmful and even considered to be beneficial for learners.
Supporters of including technology in school curriculum argue that it can be more engaging and simplified to study through animated videos, online quizzes or other websites rather than books. For instance, Kahoot is an entertaining study app that makes study exercises not only clearer but more exciting for children. As a result, students’ interest in topic grows, they play an interactive competitive game with friends based on their knowledge instead of completing traditional type of tasks without understanding.
It is also important to mention that students are able to reach free study materials on the internet now, which allows them to learn easier by themselves. One good example of such occasion is when a student falls behind his peers in subject. As various explanation videos are available online, it is not a challenge to learn outside of school. This possibility not only improves thinking but sharpens his mind as well.
In conclusion, actively spread technology use only benefits education providing different opportunities for children. If used correctly, it will enrich their critical thinking abilities by improving their engagement in studies.
