The line graph illustrates the average rainfall of three towns (Kainaliu, Opihihale and Holualoa) in the district of Kona in Hawaii, while the table presents information on the average yearly rainfall in the same regions, during 1971 to 2000. The units are measured in centimeters.
Overall, Kainaliu recorded the highest, while Opihiale received the least amount of rainfall annually.
As per the line graph, Kainaliu received roughly 10.5 centimeter downpour in January which fell down to 7 centimeters in February, before increasing gradually to 17 centimeters in September. After that, it dipped significantly, reaching approximately centimeters in December. In contrast, both Opihiale and Holualoa experienced around 8 centimeters rain in January. Thereafter, Opihiale’s rainfall rate showed varied, with the rainfall rate of nearly 9 centimeters in the next month, followed by an increase of more than 10 centimeters in September, before falling less than 7 centimeters in December. On the other hand, Holualoa’s rainfall rate showed an increase in April, July and October which accounted for 11, 12 and just under 12 centimeter rainfall respectively, and a dip in February, May, August, November and December, accounting for nearly 6,7,8,6 and 6 respectively.
According to the table, the annual shower rate, of Kainaliu recorded as138.8 cm, followed by Holualoa and Opihiale, whose annual showers accounted for 110.48 and 97.53 respectively.
