The two charts displays how much time man and women, from United Kingdom, spent on household and leisure activities in 2008.
In terms of leisure activities, both males and females spent the most time watching TV, listening to the radio, or watching videos, although men spent significantly more time (137 minutes) than women (118 minutes). Reading was fairly similar between the genders, with women reading slightly more than men (19 minutes compared to 18). Sport activities were the least popular, with men averaging 15 minutes per day and women 11 minutes.
Regarding household activities, women spent more time on cooking, washing, and clothing care than men. For example, women devoted about 75 minutes to cooking and washing, while men only spent around 28 minutes. Women also spent more time shopping (33 minutes) compared to men (25 minutes). Men spent slightly more time on repairs, at 18 minutes, compared to 10 minutes for women.
Overall, women tended to spend more time on household chores, while men allocated more time to leisure activities, particularly watching TV.
