Overall, it clear that definite job has a large proportion in both immigration and emigration. However, formal study was the most important factor for immigration in the UK than for emigration.
In detail, 30% of people came to the UK for definite job, while 26% moved for formal study. Another 15% arrived for accompany or join and 12% came to looking for work. Other reasons accounted for 11%, whereas only 6% of immigrants did not state any reasons.
Regarding emigration, a definite job was also the biggest proportion at 29%. Looking for work was second most common factor making up 22%. Meanwhile, 13% left the UK to accompany or join others, and only 4% emigrated for formal study. Other reasons and no reason given accounted for 14% and 18% respectively.
