The two maps illustrate the changes that occurred in the coal mining site before and redevelopment. Overall, the site has been adapted to attract more visitors, with the construction of new facilities for entertainment.
It is evident that before the redevelopment in the western corners of the site there was an office, which was located at the top, and a car park at the bottom of the map, also there was a staff changing room between them. In front of them at the center of the site there was an entrance for an underground mine for workers, a medical room and a lorry park. Furthermore, at eastern corners two waste tips were located.
In contrast, after the redevelopment, everything has changed except the car park. The office and staff changing room have been replaced by a museum, also, the entrance for the underground mine reconstructed for visitors. Additionally, a cafe and a souvenir shop have been introduced where the medical room and the lorry park used to be. Next to them where waste tips were located, a digger driving track and children play area with the picnic area at the center have been erected, making the site way more entertaining than it used to be. Beyond this, the attraction area has been surrounded with a footpath where visitors can travel
