The pie chart provide results of a survey of children’s cultural and leisure activities.
Overall, there are activites that are common between boys and girls, such as reading, listening to music and computer gaming. Also, there are activites that are not common such as soccer, basketball and skateboarding,in which only boys participate; and girls only who enjoy dancing, gymanstics and netball activites.
For boys, It can be observed that computer games are the most attractive with 36% of their participation, while reading has the least interest for participation with 2%, basketball has 26% and soccer has 17%; skateboarding and listening to music has 11% and 10% respectively. For girls, Dancing has their most interest with 26% while listening to music is the least with 10%; reading is the second most practiced activity with 21% and computer games is the third most with 16%, followed by netball which is 15%.
It can be observed that listening to music activity has the same participation percentage for boys and girls; also it can be observed that despite reading being common between both, but girls are far more interested in this activity.
