Overall, Streaming method predominated, whilst Other type of listening to music had the least importance in both years. Remaining sources of listening either rose or declined.
In 2015, Streaming accounted for 32% of the overall share, making it the most popular method. Similarly, Terrestrial And Satellite Radio and Digital Downloads made up 26% and 23%, respectively. While Physical Formats held 12% at the beginning of the period, Other methods comprised 7%, which shows its least usage.
In 2017, trends changed as Streaming rapidly increased its influence up to 41%, remaining as the dominant share. The difference between Terrestrial And Satellite Radio and Digital Downloads expanded, making the first bigger for 10% than the second, 24% and 14%, respectively. The minor change was noticed in Physical Formats, as it dropped for a percent. Conversely, Other increased its importance for 3%, making it to 10%, overall.
