The table gives information about percentage of the population aged over 65 of three countries (Canada, Germany and UK) in 1980, 2000 and estimated percentage in 2030.
Overall the percentage of population aged over 65 is preticted to rise in all three countries over the given periods. The highest percentage of population aged over 65 was in Germany and is predicted to be continuously be the highest, while the lowest percentage was in UK and preticted to be continuously be the lowest.
Between 1988 and 2000, both Canada and Germany’s percentage of population aged over 65 increased by around 5 percentages while there was only relatively small change of percentage in UK, remaining under 15 percentages.
By 2030, percentage of population aged over 65 is expected to increase by around 5 percentages in both Germany and UK while there will be relatively high change in Canada, by increasing around 8 percentages.
