In recent years the issue of students should take a gap year before starting university, while others argue that they should continue their education immediately after finishing school. This essay will discuss both perspektives and explain why I believe taking a gap year can be beneficial if used wisely.
On the one hand, continuing education without a break is often considered the most efficient path. Students start to remain in an academic environment, which helps them maintain discipline and study habits. If they take a year off, they may lose interest in education as well as their motivation. Therefore, starting education earlier allows individuals to graduate sooner which has a good affect on starting their future career as soon as possible.
On the other hand, taking a gap year also presents a several benefits. Firstly, it allows students to strain real-life experiences through work, volunteering organizations, or travel. Such experiences can help them develop their job performances as well as social skills which especially appreciated in employeer characteristics. Also, a student who travels or works may achieve their true intersts through this activities and also develop responsibility in their future goals. As a result, this kind of students are more likely to achieve succsess in their choosen career and feel satisfied.
In conclusion, while both sides of the argument have valid points, I firmly believe that gap year can be extremely valuable if it is organized properly. Rather than wasting time, students can use gap year for self-development, grow personally or enhance their strong sides. However, without a clear planning, gap year may become unefficient.
