The two provided pie charts demonstrate total waste production in five different countries in the year 2010 and ten years after.
Overall, it is immediately clear that the total amount of waste has increased in the span of a decade. The leading countries stayed the same, though, with the USA generating the most waste, followed by China and India, whereas the percentage remained lower for both Russia and Brazil.
The highest percentage of waste generated in 2010 was in the USA, and it remained the biggest producer in 2020. Brazil recorded the lowest figure in 2010, and this remained unchanged in 2020.
In 2010 the USA reached values of 3.2 million mtric tons of expenditure produced, and the number grew to a whopping 5 million in 2020. China followed a similar path, with 2.5 million in 2010 and 4 million in 2020. In Brazil, despite it having prodused the lowest number of a million metric tons in 2010, the amount also grew to 2.5 million, rising by 150%, which was the largest growth out of the five countries.
