Pricipal problem that cars cause is traffic congestion. The urban infastracture, espesialy European has not been adjusted to fast growth in the number of cars. As a result noise and air polution become substential, predomently during the rush hour, furthermore drivers are stuck in midle of the roud wasting time, fuel and energy. More over the expansion of car use increases demand for parking spaces which replace builds and pedestrian areas.
One of the solutions may be car free policies which can make other mean of vehicles more promenent. Expending infastructure fo public transport and cycling may be part of nessesary changes, for instance cycling and bus lanes. By this project number of cars will diminish and demand for parking spots will shrink, so space for new facilities and pedestrian areas will be free to being build.
In conclusion, significant grows in number of cars caused several problems like traffic jams, yet there are still car free projects or car polution control may be able to solve them, at least partly.
