The bar charts illustrate the statistics of a survey on the frequency of car purchases and car-buying preferences of the citizens of a particular European country in the year 2009.
Overall, it is clear that the majority of people, who were surveyed, tended to renew their vehicles every half a decade. Surprisingly, most people preferred buying already-used cars.
To start with, in 2009, the percentage of people buying cars every 5 or more years accounted for more than a half, whereas those who purchased new vehicles every 3-4 years made up less than two thirds. Meanwhile, all other four categories, namely every year, every 2 years, never change, and no cars were below 5 percent.
As for the car-buying preferences, four fifths of residents bought second-hand cars, while a quarter of the total preferred purchasing brand new automobiles. However, the figure for the categories of mixed choice and no cars did not exceed 10 percent.
