The table gives data on the percentage of people showing interest in seven types of sports from 1999 to 2009 over a 10-year period. Overall, the interests in ( tennis, swimming,golf, volleyball, and yoga) increased dramatically year by year, though, the football, basketball showed a noticeable decline each year. Nevertheless, the football retained its popularity throughout by the end of the final year.
The interest level in football and basketball dropped. In 1999, the football accounted for 57% which later fell steadily 48%, however it still led the rankings.Similarly, basketball followed a similar, but with less downward trends from 26% in 1999, to 24% in 2009.
Turning to specific details, the tennis, swimming, golf, volleyball and yoga demonstrated a significant
growth especially, in the golf. The interests level in the golf sport doubled at 8% in by 2009. But, the yoga showed a similarities growth with the percentage of volleyball form 10% in 1999, to 13% by 2009 . Meanwhile, the proportion of swimming grew by 34% until the end of the span, and the tennis percentage account for substantial 25% , and in the final year it consist of 33% people who interested in those sport.
