The issue of whether distance-learning programs can be as effective as traditional face-to-face education has sparked controversial debate in recent years. While some people are deeply persuaded that online courses can surpass those taken at a college or university, I firmly believe that traditional way of teaching is more effective in terms of quality and self-development.
One major argument in favour of traditional classroom teaching is development of multiple skills. It is widely acknowledged that face-to-face interaction with students or teachers provides possibilities for self-expression, communication and teamwork strategies. For example, universities or colleges often encourage students to participate in group discussions, presentations or projects, which help them develop necessary qualities for adulthood life. Compared to remote study, where students don’t necessarily need to reveal, it gives inexhaustible experiences, thereby allowing to push beyond one’s limits. As a result, students gain the necessary opportunities for self-realisation, which is the crucial part of life.
Another significant perspective is high-quality education. At educational institutions, systems of learning always involve a well-structured educational program. Furthermore, the education system is harshly controlled by lecturers, who in turn are the professionals. For instance, lecturer closely monitor the training, thus students are forced to study, otherwise the exception is threatened. Thereby, the phenomenon like success and discipline is highly guaranteed for students! Futhermore, traditional education mainly focuses on creating favorable conditions for learning in order to improve motivation of juveniles.
However, it may have some problems, such as unfair treatment or pressure from peers. No one is insured from this, thus, the majority of students are forced to endure, having no chance of scream. In terms of remote learning, it performs considerably better in this regard. Nevertheless, such minor drawbacks cannot overweight the row of advantages from face-to-face education.
In conclusion, distance learning is no longer available to compete with traditional teaching.
