The bar chart shows the percentages of different online educational activities in 2024, while the line graph illustrates the participation of men and women in online education between 2015 and 2024.
Overall, the online workshops were the most popular activity in 2024, while the other activities had the lowest percentage. It’s clear that the number of both men and women taking part in online education increased. Women participated more than men in most years.
Turning closer to the bar chart, online workshops were at 35% of participants making it were the most common activity. SHort online course came second at 30%. Distance Diploma programs represented 20%, while only 10% of people chose a Distance Bachelor’s Degree. The figure for other activities was the lowest, by just 5%.
Looking at the line graph, both men and women started at about 100.000 participants in 2015. After that, all the numbers increased steadily. Women participation rose from 150.000 in 2016 to around 900.000 in 2024. By the end of the period, the number of men reached 700.000. Although participation increased for both groups, women were more active in online education than men throughout the years
