Band 6+: More and more people in developing countries are purchasing cars for the first time. What problems does this cause? What do you think are the possible solutions?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In newly developing countries the number of private cars has surged drastically. This leads to air pollutioning and severe traffic jams and the most viable solution is improving public transport infrastructure.

The primary issue developing countries face when their citizens start to buy cars is increased pollution. This occurs as a result of vehicle gas emission when there are a huge number of cars on the streets. The greater number of vehicles on the road is also responsible for a rise in traffic jams. This is because there are a great number of transports outside and every person uses their own car to commute to work or somewhere else. For example, Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan in Central Asia was the second most polluted city in the World in 2025 by World Environment Agency report and the traffic lights in the city have a huge number of queues and even there are some problems for pedestrians.

A solution to these problems is to develop modern green public transports. This would solve the problems by reducing traffic confessions and creating safer streets for commuters. Meanwhile, it decreases gas emissions which leads to a clean environment for the country. For example, most European countries have introduced a new law pertaining to vehicle emissions in order to combat air pollution and using green public transports for commuters and it results in a decrease of pollution by 80% and the car accidents with sidewalkers by 73%.

In conclusion, while the increasing number of private vehicle owners indicates the economic growth of the country, it engenders significant traffic jams and environmental pollutioning. And ecological energy bus and trains would tackle this problem.
