There is a debate over which library is more practical online or physical ones, with some people saying that advantages of online libraries overcome the traditional ones, while other people argue that physical libraries involve much more significant aspects. While both sides are crucial, I firmly believe that physical libraries is more practical with some advantages that online libraries don’t have such as memorizing much longer, a pleasant environment and no damages to human well-being, which is a common problem, contributing drawbacks for digital libraries.
Online libraries can be considered more practical rather than traditional libraries, because it provides the user with more quick access from the every fringe of the world and offers a wide collection of different types of novels. Nowadays, many people can not avoid their hectic lifestyle, working form sunrise to twilight, which prevent them from doing their favorite activities, such as sports, playing games and especially reading. They can not effort to take book with themselves along the day. So in that cases online libraries come into a play. With the help of online libraries people can read whatever they want in everywhere and whenever they want. However, it is worth to mention that it can cause some dangerous threats to human well-being. Often people spend their whole day at office looking at a big screen, which causes people several headaches and eye problems during the day. If people use their time for another digital thing (digital libraries), something bad will happen in their later life, such as not be able to see well and others. Therefore, online libraries might be advantageous if they used under control with some breaks.
Although some of the merits seen in online libraries cannot be found in physical libraries, they provide with much more advantages that can easily overcome digital libraries. Initially, they are fully safe for the health of individual, causing no harm to their important organisms, and also they help people to learn things much more faster and for longer period. Many studies suggest that people absorb and retain knowledge more effectively when reading from paper rather than from a screen. Moreover, physical libraries create a calm and motivating atmosphere that encourages people to study and read productively.
In conclusion, although online libraries are convenient and accessible, I believe that physical libraries are ultimately more practical. They not only protect people’s health but also improve concentration, memory retention, and the overall reading experience.
