The plans show a comparison between the layout of Porth Harbour in 2000 and today. In comparison with 2000’s Porth Harbour today’s Porth Harbour is more urbanized, has improved some infrastructure and has added many facilities. The area for the showers & toilets, small Car park, Lifeboat, northern public beach and passenger ferries has remained unchanged.
In 2000, the Porth Harbour had a main road which connected the car park and a narrow lane. There were showers and toilets next to the car park. The narrow lane was the path to another car park, lifeboat, a castle and a public beach. Apart from that, a part of the harbour was used for passenger ferries and there were areas reserved for Marina (private yachts) and fishing boats. On the north-east of the plot there was another public beach and an area for dock.
Today’s Porth Harbour has undergone many changes and improvements. Both car parks are now directly connected with the main road. Another showers & toilets has been built in between both the car parks. The area for the fishing boats and marina (private yachts) have been interchanged. The narrow lane now leads to lifeboat along with cafes & shops, a hotel which replaced the previous castle and the public beach has converted into a private beach which is reserved for the hotel guests. Apart from that, two dock have been built instead of a single one.
