Overall, while most age groups experienced an upward trend over the period, the 55-64 age group saw a decline towards the end of the period. In addition, the 25-44 age group had the highest attendance rates, whereas the oldest age group (75+) was the lowest throughout the period.
In 2010, the 16-24 age group had the highest attendance rate at 52%, while the 25-44 and 45-54 groups both started lower at 40%. By 2015, the percentage for the 25-44 group rose sharply to peak at 70%, becoming the highest overall. The 45-54 group also saw a minor increase to 45%, whereas the figures for the youngest age group (16-24) dipped to 40% in 2011 before fluctuating slightly and ended at over 50%.
Regarding the remaining groups, concert attendance among people aged 55-64 remained stable at just under 30% until 2013, followed by a decline to around 20% in 2015. The figures for the oldest group (75+) hovered between 10% and 20% throughout the period, finishing at just under 20% at the end of the timeframe.
