In the developed world, technologies are becoming a fundamental part of education therefore some individuals believe that e-books can replace printed books in order to create a paperless learning environment. In this essay, I will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the topics, and give my valid opinion.
On the one hand, e-books can offer some noticeable benefits. First, they can be a sufficient approach to bring down the percentage of cutting trees in forests or somewhere. Because, if all students use e-books to study, the demands to printed books, which people cut trees down for creating papers to manufacture books. Second, since students can store hundreds of tittles on a single tablets and laptops, which can cut learners bags weights down, they are remarkably convenient for pupils to use them.
On the other hand, the reading online books on the laptops or tablets also have some drawbacks for students. For example, if learners spend too much time on the screen to read some kinds of books or something, it may lead to headaches and eye strain, particularly among teenagers. Moreover, not every student cannot be provided with devises and reliable an internet connection to use them by parents.
In my view, although using digital books have some disadvantages, e-books are more convenient, therefore school should get started using technical books in order to create opportunities for students to feel comfortable during lessons.
In conclusion, although e-books bring some drawbacks such as eye strain and headaches, I strongly believe that they can also bring notable benefits such as protecting trees, storing many things in single devises.
