Band 7+: Organized tour to remote areas and community is increasingly popular. Is it a positive or negative development for the local people and environment.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

There is a growing trend where people prefer going to remote places and communities in organized tours. While this trend entails some downsides such as environmental damage, I firmly believe that it is a desirable change due to improving local infrastructure and promoting cultural exchange.

One undeniable drawback of visiting rural areas is damaging ecosystems. Nowadays, most tourists attend isolated places far from city centers, which can cause several environmental issues. The main reason is that too many tourists can harm the fragile ecosystem. For example, popular hiking areas may become polluted or animals may leave wildlife due to constant human activities. Thus, human activities may damage wildlife and animals, which is not suitable for the environment to be harmed by groups of people.

Despite this advantage, I firmly believe that visiting remote regions can have more considerable benefits. One primary advantage is improving local infrastructure. Visiting these kinds of places is expensive, which means the government will spend a large amount of money on improving the living conditions of rural tourism areas. For instance, for this reason, the government improves tourism facilities like public transport, local food, accommodation, and better roads. Therefore, visiting rural areas allows people from different backgrounds to help the country improve its essentials.

Another upside is that organized tours offer exchange by bringing tourists and local people together. This helps them learn more about their traditions, culture, customs, and lifestyles. For example, these kinds of organizations encourage people to learn more information about different backgrounds, and it can also help young people who are training to speak foreign languages. As a result, organized tours to distant areas can provide people with more details about their country’s historical heritage.

In conclusion, although damaging the environment can cause serious problems with the ecosystem, I strongly contend that positive sides, such as improving local infrastructure, may lead to positive consequences for local residents and tourists, and bringing tourists together to learn more about their culture outweighs the negatives.
