Advantage And Disadvantage

Band 6+: question:As transport and accommodation problems are increasing in many cities, some governments are encouraging businesses to move to rural areas. Do you think the advantages outweigh disadvantages?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Some governments encourage companies and institutions to operate in countrysides because of the widespread of transportation and accommodation issues in many metropolitan areas. Although people can improve their quality of life when working and living in modern cities, I believe encouraging businesses in rural areas allows local people to find job opportunities and increase the economy with the support of the government.

On the one hand, suggesting businesses operate in rural areas can pose some challenges to the owners of those companies. Firstly, with the development of many industries in modern cities, companies can make trade and find their potential customers and investors because they can easily contact and create trustworthy to their partners. Compared to rural areas, where facilities and transportation are not sufficient and available for companies to operate. This can lead to businesses struggling to create relationships because investors and customers tend to find their opponents in a modern city instead of a countryside with poor transportation and resources. Another significant challenge is the lack of academic background and work experience of individuals who live in insufficient condition. People who come from cities have professional knowledge and experience that allow them to get a job with high earnings, which compares to rural people with limited access to education have lower ones. Therefore, businesses can waste their budgets and efforts to train employees. As a result, they are not certain and fear generating in countrysides.

From my perspective, the government suggests companies to build in rural areas, which creates jobs for local people, boosts the economy, and attracts other investments. When a company opens in a rural site, people may not need to travel a long distance to a city to fulfil their jobs. Moreover, they can enhance their performance and earn sufficient salaries that are similar to those in modern cities. For example, working in rural businesses can save people time commuting to work and live closely with their relatives. Additionally, by exploiting the hidden potential in countries, companies can excavate available resources and labour, leading to becoming a pioneer in their industries. Allowing businesses to increase their business scale and attract investment from other countries. Not only can it help people improve their lifestyles, but also boost the economic rate of a countryside. But I think this will come to reality if the government invests in preparing transportation and provides necessary education for local people instead of encouraging institutions to open in rural places. By enhancing these services, the physical condition and people’s lifestyle are improving, leading to the investment of both local and international businesses.

In conclusion, although the opening of businesses in rural sites can create challenges of finding customers and sponsors, I believe its advantages should outweigh the disadvantages with the help of the government to improve the quality of transportation and provide education to local people. Such activities can create a lot of attention from investors and therefore improve economic’s aspects in rural areas.
