Back in the day, people bought goods to stay comfortable and safe. Once they bought, they were happy. Now, companies and the economy use tricks to make us to feel like we never quite good enough. They want us to keep buying goods to feel happy, even thought it never lasts. Personally, I partially agree with the statement as companies or the economy have profound impact through advertisement.
Concededly, that people should manage their emotion. Controlling feelings is mostly up to individuals, people should learn about emotional literacy. Government should implement emotional mandatory for everybody beginning with young age. For instance, lessons at school could include a weekly “feeling and communication” classes for children starting with kindergarten, just like their math and science classes. As a result, people learn how to manage feelings and they are not obeyed by companies and the economy.
Despite this evidence, I accept that markets are easily manipulate people through ads. Everybody has flaws and wants to fix them. At that time, ads are manipulated without difficulties by famous or benefited people from that thing , they promote like its have profound impact on their life. For example women, they almost always complain from their face and they buy cosmetics, may be because Selena Homes promoted and she has flawless appearance. As a consequence, people can not control themselves and purchase this good. Moreover, some people buy things unconsciously because design of items is attractive and eye-catching.
In my opinion, in this era of consumerism, people should manage themselves , their emotion and money. However, markets also manipulates through ads. They manipulate by attractive exterior or promoting by famous people.
In conclusion, although people should learn emotional literacy for controlling, i partially believe that market mostly influence to people”s mindset.
