Dear Christine,
Hello, I assumed this letter would arrive at your postmail in a week. Do you remember a girl in baggy trousers with a fractured arm that you helped last week? I was that person. I’m Lail and I’m writing to you to let you know that I’m really grateful that you were there when no one was offering their helping hand. You even went all the way as if I were your own family by sitting me on the curb and waiting for the ambulance and my husband to come.
I don’t know what my future would be if you hadn’t aided me in that critical moment. A million thank you wouldn’t be enough to express my gratitude. It really touched my heart, especially, when you offered me that yellow rain coat and blanket to keep me warm and dry.
Thank you for soothing and reassuring me that everything will be fine while I feel like it will be the end of the world for me.
I also invite you and your family to have a BBQ in our home next Sunday 28th June. I know this couldn’t compare to what you did to me but I hope you could accept my small thank you gesture.
Thank you so much for everything Christine.
Yours Sincerely,
Lail
