The table given below illustrates the data regarding unemployed citizens of the United Kingdom and how they spent their times for both men and women and in the previous year.
Overall, the ratio of men’s and women’s activity in their spare times had many variations. Such as household work in the morning. As compared to men, men did more than two times work than men. Next came shopping, where in the afternoon twice than men, women went for shopping.
Taking closer look at the table, it can be seen that the people of the United Kingdom, who were unemployed did many activities, such as housework, shopping, job hunting, meeting friends, gardening, watching tv and so on. However, both of the gender had many mathematical variations. For instance, men tended to do housework one third of women in ratio in the morning. The significant number was 19% for men while women held 49%. Correspondingly, the afternoon, women did three times more housework than men. However, shopping in the morning, both of the groups held similar ratio of 22 and 26 respectively. While, in the afternoon, the number was doubled for the portion of women.
On the other side of the table, equal percentage can be seen for the part of staying in bed in the morning which is 8%. However, visiting friends and family followed by increasing number of women at both morning and evening. Moreover, drinking is a segment where men were in lead, with rates of 2% and 3% consecutively.
