The line charts provide information about the percentage of households with three types of electrical appliances and the consumption of time washing clothes, preparing meals, and cleaning in one country from 1920 to 2019.

Overall perspective, the proportion of households had a great growth during the period, while there was a sharp fall in the number of hours of housework per week over the whole period.

looking in more detail, the refrigerator rose rapidly from 0% in 1920 ,to 100% in 1980, then stayed the same until then.Likewise, there was a dramatic increase of around 30% in 1920, until reached peak in 2000 of 100% respectively. As for washing machines, the percentage also increased slightly to approximately 40% in 2000, with a small dip of around 65% in 1980,then they still managed to rise as time went by, although not significantly.

one notable point, regarding the number of hours per week, there was a slight climb of almost 50% in 1920 , before falling sharply to around 15% in 1980, then remained relatively levelled out until 2019.
