Overall, the figure for women’s consumption by far was the highest throughout the period shown compared to others. By contrast, minors experienced the least amount of fruit and vegetables eaten.
The statistics for men who consumed recommended amount was relatively 23 in 2002, followed by a considerable increase to above 25 in 2006. In addition, children who ate the recommended daily amount of fruit and vegetables increased significantly from almost 10 to generally 15 between 2002 and 2006 respectively. Furthermore, while the figure for men witnessed a slight decrease which was merely roughly 24 in 2010, minors went down to approximately 13 at the same time.
Another feature worth mentioning is that the number of women who consumed a daily amount of fruit and vegetables was 25 in 2002, before witnessing a dramatic increase to comparatively 30 in 2006. By contrast, there was a noticeable drop to 26 in 2010 for the number of women in the UK.
