A glance at the given graph reveal the changing trend of criminal convictions in the British which is divided by gender and age and the percentage of male and female prison inmates in the prison system of the UK.
From a quick glance, both features showed that men commit more crimes and were more likely to be imprisoned than women. In addition, conviction rate among adults in both genders was by far the highest and then declined gradually with age.
The line graph took insight into the conviction rates by age and gender. Regarding the male, it reached a peak of 16% in the 20-25 age group, which is four times higher than the peak for females with approximately 4% in the same age group. In the following age, the proportion of both genders steadily went down, with men maintaining higher conviction rates across all age groups. At the end, there was a relatively similar figure recorded with nearly 0% in the age of 60.
Looking at the pie chart, it was obvious that males dominated the prison rate with 96% of the total. In contrast, females accounted for only 4% in the proportion of prison inmates.
