Overall, all the countries spent their money mostly on food, drinks, and tobacco, however, the least money on leisure and education.
At a glance, we can see that people in Turkey spent the highest in food, drinks, and tobacco, with 32.14%, followed by Ireland, with 28.91%. Spain stood at the third place with 18.8%, and Italy, and Sweden were the lowest consumption in food, drinks, and tobacco, with 16.36% and 15.77%, respectively. Moreover, Turkey led the percentage of the expenditure on leisure and education as well. Consumers from Turkey spent 4.35%, 8 times less than expenditure on food, drinks, and tobacco. In the second and third place, Italy and Sweden made up nearly the same percentage, 3.2% and 3.22%, respectively. Expenditure in Ireland and Spain were the least with under 2.3%. In clothing and footwear sectors, Italy paid the highest percentage, with 9%, 3 times larger than that of leisure and education. In contrast, Sweden spent the lowest in this category, accounting for 5.4%. The rest of the countries took up the same portion, with over 6%.
