The graph shows how the layout of a town called Flexistone in the UK altered between 1967 to 2001. Overall, the place had significant changes during the period and became a more recreational location. Moreover, farmland and several parts of sandy areas were removed to make way for sports facilities and wind turbines, elements of a more urbanized seaside town.
In the northwest of town, the golf course and shops on both sides of the highway remained intact. However, the farmland in the northeast with replaced with new sports facilities providing opportunities for tennis and swimming. Additionally, a hotel was built in the vicinity of tennis courts and a swimming pool to accommodate more guests in the town.
The southeastern region underwent a significant transformation, with the marina and pier repurposed into a public beach, and the fish market was converted into a private beach area. In the southwest, dunes and a part of flora were demolished in favor of wind turbines. The hotel and the café just close to the highway remained unchanged; nevertheless, a new parking facility was built adjacent to the hotel.
