The bar graph illustrates the rates of air pollution caused by varying reasons in four states in 2021.
Overall, china had the highest rate of air pollution, in contrast Australia had the lowest rate of air pollution. Transport caused the highest rate of pollution in America. China and Japan are similar in the sequence of reasons with industry in the lead, electricity generation in last place, and transport in between the two. Australia has all three reasons at almost the same rate, yet electricity generation exceeds the rest by only a small number.
China produces 80 ppm of pollution by industry, 70 ppm by transport, and just under 60 ppm by electricity generation. This makes china the state with the highest rate of pollution. Similarly to Japan, who follows the same sequence, with industry at approximately 43 pm, transport at 30 ppm, and electricity generation at around 25 ppm. Both china and Japan produce the pollution by industry and least by electricity generation.
On the other hand, Australia produces less than 20 ppm by all three reasons. In Australia, electricity generation is higher than the other two reasons by around 1 ppm. This makes Australia the least polluted state. America has transport as the highest cause of pollution with almost 60 ppm, and industry and electricity generation at nearly a tie. Industry has less than 30 ppm and electricity generation has a little over 30 ppm.
